1. Your name - My name is Bill Fiore. I am the sole owner of aftermarketcellular.com and am interested in selling my business.
2. URL of site - My url is aftermarketcellular.com
3. Age of site - I have owned and operated this site under the same domain since 2000.
4. Approximate monthly page views and/or unique visitor - I currently receive anywhere from 1-2.5 million hits a month. I have anywhere from 30,000-75,000 uniques visitors per month with 150,000-650,000 page views per month. I have top listings throughout Google, Yahoo, and MSN. 100% of my traffic is obtained through organic search results, links, or affiliates. I currently am not involved in any paid advertising or pay-per-click (someone with available funds and a marketing sense could really grow this site).
5. How does site generate income? How much? - I sell over 4,500 different oem and aftermarket cellular phone accessories. I currently have a distributor in California who drop ships all my orders with my company name on the boxes and my company logo on all the invoices. My products are automatically maintained in my site through xml feeds which I spent over $10,000 developing. I also have access to my distributors database to check order status, obtain tracking info, and more. I pay $100 per month for hosting and $50 per month for a 1-800 number. I also pay $1.00 per call to a call center maintained by my distributor. The call center can take orders over the phone or provide technical support. My merchant fees are my only other real expense. I had over $54,000 in sales for 2005 with over $12,000 gross profit.
6. Who develops content and how much time does it require? - All of the content is maintained by my distributor and requires no maintenence on my part. I I strickly maintain the look of the website and content pages like the home page, faq's, contact pages etc. I have prided myself on automation and I even have complex pricing algorithms setup to automatically price my products.
7. Reason for selling - I have lost my passion. I have spent over five years developing this site. I work on it almost every night trying to help it grow. I have read every book I could get my hands on regarding internet marketing and now feel like I would rather teach than do. I am going to pursue a new website consulting business for small local businesses.
8. Will you help with the transition of the site to the new owner? - Absolutely, I will provide extensive training on my database, as well as my contact software snd affiliate program software.
9. Does the site have an e-zine or newsletter? Number of subscribers? I had a newletter at one time but have since stopped it due to lack of time. I do have over 3,000 opt-in customers that I send occaisonal promotional mailings to.
10. The asking price for the site. - I am asking $25,000-$30,000 for this site. I have spent spent close to $20,000 in development over the years.
If anyone has a questions feel free to email me or post a reply to this post.
Thank you
Bill Fiore

Bill,
1. How financially secure is your drop shipper?
2. The more custom dev work you put into a site the more difficult it is for another developer to pick up the baton. How difficult do you estimate it to be for this site?

Q: "How financially secure is your drop shipper?"
A: There are only a few major players in the wholesale cellular accessory business. My dropshipper is Pacific Cellular Supply who is probably the largest importer of cellular phone accessories in the US. I do not see them going anywhere.
Q: The more custom dev work you put into a site the more difficult it is for another developer to pick up the baton. How difficult do you estimate it to be for this site?
A: My site is built on an Interchange platform which is one of the most popular open source database platforms. The beauty of "open-source" is it is very easy to custimize. They have an extensive forum icdevgroup.org where hundereds of Interchange experts share advice and answer any development/implementing questions. Also, you may wish to stay with my current host (Endpoint) as they are probably one of the most highly regarded Interchange experts in the biz.
