I am running adsense banners on my forum. I understand that it is pretty hard to idex forums but what adsense does on DC doesn't make sense at all! Some pages get scanned and quite relevant advertisemebts are displayed, but on the main page you can see poetry and other writing contests in the adsense banner. I really don't understand how can it be confused with design? As I see there's nothing much in the content related to writing itself either.

Do you have any ideas on how I can improve the ads relevance? Thank you!

strange - but some text on the page is triggering the poetry/writing contest ads ... i noticed one instance where you had "design contest art gallery" within the text. That may be were it is tripping the cross-over to poetry/writing.

and what really puzzles me is that the ads are different for the pages with and without www prefix!

ads will be different depending on if the url is indexed by google or not. If indexed you get results based on content indexed, if not indexed you don't.

My only suggestion is to play around with it by using a tool which shows ads that will be displayed. The trick is to get accurate ads you must have the page indexed.
