Is there a technique or even a name for making normal photos look more solid. What i mean is to take all of the detail out of an image and fill it with 1 or 2 colours so that its still clear what the image is but its not like a photo of something thats just been taken with a camera. Hopefully someone knows what i mean smile

Don't know what you mean but try opening the image in Photoshop and going to the posterize filter.

If thats not it PM me with an example of what you mean.

Possibly - there is/used to be a piece of software called Streamline that converted bitmap images to vector images and one could specify the number of levels. It has a similar effect to posterization but makes a lot smaller file size. However you can't really use vector images on the web. HTH

I just found this thing is Flash called "Trace Bitmap" which is very cool. Makes it look very "arty" smile
