Could I get some expert advice on CSS layers? I'm having a couple of odd problems that I can't figure out, with the main navigation bar at ((URL REMOVED)).
1) The bottom of the Support menu drop-down ( "Training" ) is cut off in IE, but not in NS. Similarly, the last item on the Partner menu ( "AOC" ) is cut off in IE. I made all of the drop-down layers exactly the size of the graphics included in them, and it works in all cases perfectly with the exception of these two.
2) This is a problem I can't duplicate, but I have a print-out to show that it occurs so I know it's true. For some people, if you go to the Partners menu, highlight "SBPs" and view the fly-out menu, the bottom part of that menu gets displayed BEHIND the Search fields rather than on top of them.
Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong in these cases? I'm kind of stuck!
Thanks so much,
Tracy

Have you run the code through both the W3C HTML and W3C CSS validators first?

Yes, and there are errors, but they are primarily errors such as no ALT tag (done purposely in specified cases) and other things. Nothing related to the layers.

Get the alt attribute as a minimum of alt="" to get rid of the error.
You can have an empty alt attribute, but it should never be missing.
I can't see the other error you asked about.

A layer can get cut off if the next layer is in a higher z-index. However, when I look at it in MSIE and Mozilla, I see no problem.
