yeah they are a better way to go,
but of course I will buying a new bass boat this year with unrelated reciprical links 
but I might add their might be some truth in bhazar posts I just started otpimzing this persons site , and she refuses relevent links, becasue she hates her peers
her site is targeting a extermely easy phrase
"city state lawyer"
I don't know if its the off topic links , or maybe the term is a lot harder then it looks, because her site isn't ranking anywhere as quckly or easily as I expected.
Could be google just slower then i rememeber

That's because of her refusal to get on-topic links. It may be appear to be an extremely easy phrase, but without on-topic links you just won't get the rankings. Period.

Bhartzer: Are you saying that a site with NO on-topic but thousands of off-topic inbounds won't stand a chance? Do you mean it that drastically?
And: is this something you KNOW?
I've tested this lately, and off-topic links aren't helping with Google right now. One site just added over 1000 links. Although it helped the PR and backlinks, it didn't do anything for rankings.

The site that added those 1000 links ...
1.) Were they from 1000 different domains and ownership?
2.) Where they all from the same or mostly the same domains?
3.) Did all or most of 1000 links contain the keyword query?
