I have a mirror site which has a much higher PR (PR7) than the main site (PR4). Most of its pages were indexed by Google before the main site. Somehow, despite putting a robots.txt for the main site, the pages from the main site now appears in the index. It appears that pages from the main site were already indexed one month earlier but did not appear in the search results until now. Obviously, search returns for that site comes in at a lower ranking than the mirror site.
I am worried that my search positions from the mirror site may be adversely affected. I would rather prefer that Google treats my mirror site as the main site and vice versa. I would appreciate any input or thoughts on this matter.

Are you sure the PR7 is "real" PR? Seems unlikely that a mirror site could be that high, and that much stronger than the main site.
If the database hasn't been updated with an actual calculated pagerank, the toolbar will sometimes "guess" based on the positioning within the domain. That's why people keep thinking they can create a new Geocities site and instantly be at PR5.

The PR7 is a real PR. This is a highly regarded educational site. What I have done is to make use of this high PR by putting pages from our main commercial site under this domain and the resultant jump in ranking was simply incredible!
Now I am worried that the ranking of these pages could be interfered with.
