I know this has been posted somewhere, but despite my efforts at searching I can't find the answer. When the googlebot crawls my site, what will my log file show? I thought it would say googlebot or google in the domain, but so far, over the last 2 weeks, I've seen no activity from any crawler from google. We have been hit hard by this Florida update, and I'm hoping that we get crawled again soon and moved at least back in the top 1000 (down from #5)!

It will look something like this:
2003-12-16 14:27:43 IP.ADDRESS.OF.GOOGLEBOT - IP.ADDRESS.OF.YOUR.SITE 80 GET /robots.txt - 200 Googlebot/2.1+(+http://www.googlebot.com/bot.html) -
Log files vary, but the Googlebot will identify itself if your web server is configured to save that information.
