About 50% of the pages we "lost" to Florida are coming back to their old positions in the serps. At first for only a few hours, then a day, and now for 2 days. Has anyone else noticed something similiar?

They are all travel related, and I have not changed any optimization or important content.

On the lighter side, one of our terms (belize honeymoons) is showing in 4th place a page from a domain named burgerkingbigscreen. Now that makes sense, right? BTW, it's an "under construction" page.

A number of people are reporting that. I have seen an email from Google in response to a complaint from an Adwords customer whose site was dropped. In part this email said:

"... Because we are constantly working to improve the quality of our search results, however, it is likely that a non-spam site will resume its previous position during the next crawl."

This is a new sentence that appears to have been added to the standard response --> their is hope for us.

Clinging to hope in one hand and a bottle of vodka in the other.

Now to argue what 'next crawl' means exactly...

After developing strong technique for google on our sites to get our sites ranked at #1 or at least on the front page, all of our sites have disappeared completely.

This took literally years of work and research and development.

Now we need to look at the rest of JimWorld's stuff on the other methods of developing traffic.

Just as with every other person who has been badly listed, my trust with google has been severly damaged.

Hey Quality-ins, we joined on Jimworld on the same day wink

At least we are in this 'boat' with a large number of people, more brain power to work on the problems.

The transition of Google from 'kind benefactor of my sites' to 'cold, distant, mean and mildly retarded former acquaintance' was rather sudden. I'm relearning a few things, but mostly I'm seeing spam doing well, so I don't know if there's much to learn there..
