    I see all the Google Directory references in SERPS are gone from where I'm seeing things. how about you all?

    I this the end of google directory?

    its certainly a deemphasizing ... although it is still available for those into digging. Click the more link from the home page and it is still available from there. Not gone, but yes it signals the end of the google directory and its previous role imo.

    Just maybe the spam will now stop being submitted to the ODP, and they can get on with what they originally set out to do.
