If you do searches for retail items I"m seeing an increase in ebay stores showing up in SERPS and ranking very, very high.
I'm also seeing a lot of Amazon and Huge commercial websites in top SERPS.
Kinda looking like the day after Florida again.
I don't think paypal nerds should be on page one in google for half this stuff. There's way too much good quality content out there than what's being forced down our throats.

I believe this is due to theming. Amazon and a lot of huge commercial sites link by category, and a lot of the links going to their pages come from on-topic pages.

That's pathetic, but expected.
For lack of better terms, these are glorified garage sales taking up prime time cyber space.
It's all geared to keep their power sellers happy.
