    Do lots of outbonding links from my home page hurt the PR of my home page?

    Every search engine is built on the webs link structure... If outbound links should hurt your ranking, the search engines would collapse because everyone would stop linking to other sites.

    On the contrary; on-topic outbound links to quality sites may help your ranking...

    sorry... I see now that you talk about PR.... No it does not hurt the PR of the page with all the links on...

    But the PR sent to your sub pages will be devided among all the links on your home page, including th outbounds...

    Continuing with your logic Eirik, there is what is commonly referred to as PR 'feedback' which 'may' also be considered ...

    where PR sent to your sub pages - if those sub pages link back to your home page and thus contribute to the PR of your home page - then pr of your home page is not as much as it could be if the external links were not in place.

    There are other (more important) considerations outside of PR to evaluate when determining if an outbound link is appropriate, imo.
