If I am in a Web Directory with a PR 5 or 6 home page but the interior page which lists the category my site appears in is 0 PR . . . will this site help my PR in Google?

The first thing you want to look at is how many pages of the directory are indexed in the search engines. Very few have a lot of pages indexed and that is what a use as a primary factor in determining a directories value in giving you a strong back link. If most of the pages are not indexed then chances are you will not get a back link from it. Are the page links dynamic or static, that plays a role in how well they are indexed as well and are they direct links or redirects? A lot of factors can play a role in determining a directories ability to give you a strong link.wink

Good points. I just looked at the source of a site. 3,000 pages were indexed. The categories were static pages.

However, it was using script to feed the site which makes the link worthless unless people really use their directory.
