I have tons of gmail invites to share, so visit my website and send me a msg and I'll give you one. There is a service which gives them out called ISNOOP but TOS says I can't post the URL so find it on the .NET yourself... gmail rules!

As far as free webmail clients go, its the best.
Amazing google powered search of old messages, loads of space for images/old messages (2200MB ATM)and the capability to spell check and save drafts.
They also provide POP access, so you can use Outlook/whatever if you want to, or more likely your wireless device.

Plus only simple google ads on the side of your msg, currently anyhow. MSN and Yahoo is so cluttered with ads and useless junk it's annoying. Only thing I don't like is you don't create folders, you are supposed to "search" for stuff. I create "labels" which is close to a folder, but a little shady. It's the only email I use now. I have tons of invites, so ask away - and as you wait, visit my crappy website and give me some advice on how to improve it LOL See my profile.
