Does anyone feel they'll be affected by this change or will gain from it?

I don't do any PPC where I'm based but I can't help but feel that Yahoo's Panama system seems like a big waste now

I think yahoo blew it bigtime by doing not only doing this agreement but not getting the deal done with msn. For online marketers that means only one game in town(google) .
It would be nice to have a little competition wouldnt itsad.

The only way Yahoo could have retained its relevance is to join hands with msn and present an alternative to the Giant Google. Competition in any field is essential. With no real competition Google will have little incentive to improve their search. Monopoly in search arena will be detrimental to the end users.
