Here is another silly question. What is Google pr? Is it important?

Google PR or PageRank is a measurement that Google uses to monitor link strength within a page (or more correctly a URL). PageRank is roughly 3-6 months out of date as Google doesn't want to give people the immediate figure (as people spammed the hell out of it when they did).
PageRank has an impact on the Google listings but I wouldn't worry about it, focus on developing your site with useful information and/or a valuable product and PR will come
