I am working with a new client, and I ran into a bit of a snag when I tried to calculate his conversion rate.

A conversion on this particular site is when a user submits a form. The problem lyes in the fact that the form submits from www.clientsite.com to another server, so the conversion page is basicly www.othersite.com/thankyou.html. The thankyou.html loads images off clientsite.com, so I can go ahead and track conversions using the load of a image with that site as the referall. What I am stumped on, however, is tracking users that have url variables from what site to the other.

I like to put source codes in the URL's to track PPC campaigns, but when a user loads www.clientsite.com/?source=adwords and submits the form to the other server, that variable is lost. Any ideas on what I could do to track source codes on the form submit?

The solution would be very simple if you could create a seperate form page at your clientsite.com with image designated to adwords (ex. imageadwords.gif); this way, you could track imageadwords.gif to track adwords' performance.

Any ideas on what I could do to track source codes on the form submit?

I don't have a direct answer to your question, but perhaps, try Google Adwods...I've seen some peeps with extensive code knowledge there.
