We all know that efficiency is a good thing for productivity and that typos just plain don't work.

I think that typing is important so..
let's see where we are at:
Check Your Typing Speed Here... and let us know how you go..

I did a couple and am amazed at my fall down from my past days of 75 wpm.. but at least I cracked a 100% accuracy at 37 wpm.. so not all bad.

40 wpm (mistakes undisclosed) I have slowed too and I am sure its from the spelling of the words no longer just flowing out correct(time is lost thinking about the spelling of words because of all the americanised words around in coding and on the net in general)

yup.. my mind thinks, when typing, in a different direction than just "type words" .. it wants to "optimise".. LOL. so plain typing is harder now because I have to hold back on that aspect in my thinking.

A blazing 32! 2 errors. I've watched those real speed demons clocked at 120+. The odd thing is that they don't concentrate on typing. They just rip through text while gabbing to each other! huh

Well, I'm not disclosing. I'm one of those speed demons. I've been in front of a computer so long that I can no longer write with a pen or pencil more than 10 words or so before my hand hurts... wink

Heh! So I am not the only one then. Also, if I have to write more than 3 words it begins to look like a 5 year old did it.

Hmm, typing speed, over well 50 words per minute, and a whole lot more if there is some loud ambient trance playing.

42 WPM, 3 mistakes. Dang, can hardly believe some people actually type 100+ words with almost no errors. Feel like a snail.

55 and 3 errors - been there for over a year - or at least since the last time I timed myself.

95 WPM with 3 mistakes (adjusted speed 92 WPM)

On the first try...the annoying part is that I'm so used to hitting the backspace key to correct errors, that it slows me down. The 3 mistakes were spelling mistakes. Because my brain reads and types whole words rather than individual letters. smile May have to go try again...
