Is it just me, or are we beginning to see some of the afore-spoken on changes implemented?
I see a new header and the links look great floating there on their own. (index, active topics, etc.) 
Tag line is nice, too, for the logo - always good to incorporate the year when you actually have some history. Is that a "final" version for the tag line et al?
I was just thinking about this project this morning. Great work.

I think it looks much cleaner More changes will be coming.
With the design at the top header, I think we need to get rid of the colour scheme on the related sites bar...black and orange makes it hard to read - I wonder what it would be like with just plain black or blue text on white or light grey?

tan and dark blue don't go together very well. Although overall the stuff looks good, hope to see the entire update soon.
