Anyone here know of someone that will ADMIN to the hyperseek software. Setting up, and occassional updating.
I know it is excellent software, and with time I could learn the functions, I regret my time is focused in other areas, and why I was looking for software that would be user friendly.. for "Dummies Like Me"..
I have had the free training with exception of one hours, and training was really only someone reading instructions to me.. I need to know how to use the software for my simple application, and I would like to find someone that could understand my application and charge me to set it up.
I called their number (Hyperseek) yesterday and today, but my calls have not yet been returned. Another reason I would rather pay someone to set it up for my application, and I can focus on my tasks at hand.
That sums up what I need and if anyone can help I would appreciate it..
Kind Regards

You may try asking for paid help to previous owner of Hyperseek: John Cokos

Thanks for your reply I have emailed John Cokos, but no reply. I take it he has set aside his involvement and taking a well deserved rest.
Your answer is on the mark, and I am looking for a John Cokos that does this stuff in his sleep.
I am suprised that I don't get any responses from the new Company. I would think they might have some experience. I have also emailed a couple of the websites they have listed as clients to see if they may have a recommendation, but no answer yet.
Thanks again for your response.

John is a busy guy, so don't be surprised if it takes a couple weeks for him to reply. With one holiday just wrapped up, and another looming, be patient and maybe try him again later next week.

Thanks John, of course would be the person of choice, and I am looking for a programmer that is familiar with Jackhammer to set up some applications and do some occasional updates.
Me? I can not even get it to open up. All I get is “page can not be displayed“ error message… it worked at one time, but not now and I have not made any changes or new uploads. I tired to upload their free demo and same thing.. Nothing. I don’t blame them it is my lack of programming skill. My skill is other areas.
I have posted on Guru.com and a few others looking for someone that can help on a as needed bases.
I appreciate your input.

Are you getting HTTP 500 Internal server error or what? Try changing file permissions.
I am not familiar with the software. But if you want me to check it, PM me your login details.

Is the software uses some kind of encryption to encrypt php code? If your server doesn't support that type of encryption then the sofware won't work.

Dinkar,
Hyperseek is the one that installed it and it was working fine during the instruction period.. (instruction??). I have one hour left, but can not get anyone to return my calls.. I figure they must be gone.
But I will take your advise and see if I can figure it out.. I had posted on Guru.com for anyone that understands the software, and not even one answer.
Thanks very much for your responses.

I am thinking the problem is I still using the demo version that is expired and they never setup my paid version.
Still no responses from Hyperseek or JJS Software. My Daughter tired to contact them as well, just no luck.. they may be out of business, the best I can tell,.. I am hoping someone on the forum may know more.
Thanks

As far as I know, JJS is still supporting Hyperseek. They did have a staffing "issue" about 2 months ago, but I think it's been resolved by now.
All emails that used to come my old Hyperseek related email addresses now auto-forward to them directly.
PM me here, and I'll get with you privately to see if I can't help you out.

JCokos,
JJS is now owned by Jennifer. A fellow by the name of Ed had been trying to install Jackhammer but was unsuccessful. He said he was going to try one more time, and then he would have to charge.
He never was able to try one more time before Jennifer had the Company.
As always Jennifer says how simple it is, but I have not been able to do it, and Ed was the tech and he couldn't make the install. So my chances are limited.
I have never been able to find "anyone" that knows how to work with Jackhammer. I have tried some sites looking for an admin person, but no luck.
When I bought the software I felt I paid for the install and 3 hours of lessons. The lessons were Jennifer reading the instructions.. I needed to see my applications applied, or some custom work done for my applications.
I could never get that far.
The problem is not the money it costs to have Jennifer do the work (simple install), but the problem is the money I have spent has never justified to continue spending more.
I have a feeling the software is good, and it may need some minor tweeking for my applications. I am just tired of spending money and no results. A frustration I shared with Jennifer.
If you have any recommendations for someone that knows the software let me know I would like to contact them.
Go Stars

[personal information removed] please see my posting on the topic of JJS >>link
I would try using the installer, logon to your account at the Hyperseek web site and do a fresh install perhaps in a sub domain using new FTP credentials and fresh mySQL database.
