There's an International Search Summit to be held on 2008 May 22 at the British Library, London. That's very near to King's Cross.
Andy Atkins Kruger, from WebCertain, will host the event, and speakers include Kristjan Mar Hauksson (Nordic eMarketing), Dixon Jones (Receptional), Tor Crockatt (Microsoft) and Rebecca Berkich (International search director at Xerox).
It’s a one day event designed to identify and discuss the latest challenges, insights, tools and techniques in international search marketing and it is the first ever event to focus entirely on multilingual and international Search.
If you're in London at that time, it sounds like an interesting event to attend. Pre-registration details can be found on their website: internationalsearchsummit.com.
Must also see if the LondonSEO boys and girls, or any SEFers, are up for a meal and/or a beer around that time.
I am 50/50 on being free that day, and won't know for another week or so.

It looks very likely that I will be in London on May 22nd, and might also be around for some time in the afternoon/evening the day before.
If any of the "usual suspects" fancy a meal and a pint somewhere on one of those evenings, then please also post here. I know there are a few that haven't been able to make it on previous occasions. It'll be good to see you too. For the price conscious, we usually get fed and watered for under 20 quid, and if it's Weatherspoons, then a tenner often covers it.
Are any of our regular members dealing in International search topics? It's not an area that we have talked about in great detail before. With the web getting bigger and the world getting smaller, now is a good time to be looking at this interesting topic.
There's some additional information about the event now available. Additional speakers will include Sante Achille (Multilingual Search news blog editor), Michael Bonfils (SEM International), Barry Lloyd (MakeMeTop), and several people from WebCertain, viz. Volker Ballueder, John Brenne, Eyal Haik, and David Segal - but they are hosting the event too.

It wouldn't be a cost effective day for me, but I'll probably be around for at least one of the evenings - I'll know a little nearer the time.

The Press Releases for the event also pointed me towards a search news site that I wasn't aware of before: www.multilingual-search.com/.
That looks another useful site to keep an eye on, with some interesting search topics from time to time. I see a number of well known contributors there.
Cheers Q, let me know nearer the time.

Only a dozen days left!
I'll give you a ring nearer the time Q, but if anyone else wants to meet up before/during/after for a meal then post here sometime in the next few days.
I'll be around on either the day before, or after, the conference, but probably not both. My timetable has been shifted twice already, and might yet change again.
