I just found this forum and my first day I'm posting a problem. How that for a good start!
Maybe someone can shed some light on my dilemma. I've attempted to post my shopping website on Live Search but just can't seem to get listed. I've posted it several times over the past couple of months, but when I search for it, using the actual domain address, it doesn't show up.
I tried it also by entering it using one of the pages www.-----.com/---.html. If I search for it using that address it shows up.
There isn't any problem finding it using Google or Yahoo. I do have a Sitemap for the site. I'm really confused!
I'd appreciate anyones input.

OK, first off, welcome to the forums!
Next up, help us by listing out some of the phrases you're searching on (at Live.com) to find yourself.
When I go to live.com and enter yourdomain.com, you're right at the top of the list - which you should be.
If you're tying to find yourself using generic phrases like "shopping website", etc., it'll take lots of work and more time to find yourself ranking well on popular terms.
As a side note, you'll have to let us all know how this idea works out for you. I poked around a bit, and think I have the general idea figured out and I'd be interested in hearing if it works successfully for you.

Thanks for your reply SportsGuy. I appreciate your getting back to me.
At the moment the only test phrase that I've used, fo the search, has been my domain name. As you said, it should come up right at the top of the results list. I haven't even considered searching for it using any sort of keyword since I can't even get a result with the name itself.
Since I got a result using my www.---.com/---.html page (I know I'm not supposed to use my actual domain info, unless you have a way of private messaging) today I submitted six pages from the same domain using the .com/---.html in order to see if these will show up in a search.
The next step is to try to contact Live Search in order to try to get an answer (OK you can stop laughing now). "Good Luck" right!
Finally, your last point. I've created an online shopping mall (Affiliate Marketing) which is taking a while to get going. It's been a slow start, probably because I been attempting natural search as opposed to PPC. There is a lot of competition, but I think the potential is there. I certainly wouldn't mind getting quicker results though.

Excellent idea Alex. Hope it works for you, and please - in the future - feel free to stop by and offer updates to us on your progress.
How old is the site now, too - I should have asked that earlier...

MSN is now Live Search. By October , they change the features and change the algorithm in terms of search result. Before we rank well in MSN but now it is quite difficult to rank well and to get indexed. And I observed also that they focused on the off-page like directory submission. The best things we do is to follow the algorithm that more focus on keywords, title, relevant and content (more on to on-page factor). You can also try the Live Upload is the same with Froogle.
