Out fo interest has anyone had success with these methods? Can anyone recommend a good site to learn these. I purchased Rick Butts methods yesterday and find some parts confusing. Fellow readers is there a master in the house?

    Who is Rick Butts?
What is "the new rave Blog and Pring"?

I've been in this industry since 1996 and have never heard of it--nor have I heard of Rick Butts.

Blong and PING has been around for a little while now, and yes it has been proven to get your website indexed within 3 days in Google, but why would you pay for the info? I could have told you how to do it for free....it is extremely easy to do.

Blog and Ping refers to this:

Blogging - creating a blog and updating it on a regular basis.

Ping - telling other websites that your blog has been updated. Basically, you send small ping to each service you let them know you've updated your blog so they can come check it out. You can Ping to a site (The Packet Internet Groper is used to test the availability of a host on a network or on the Internet).

A popular ping service is called PingOMatic.

Well I know what that is! Thanks bhartzer

I'm sure most of us know what that is. But the title of the post was Blog & Pring....I didn't know what a Pring was.

Blog & Ping...nothing new. It's been going on for some time now. Many sites do it. Technorati, blo.gs, weblogs.com, ....just to name a few.

I think pring was actually a typo, I'm assuming greatfun123 posted it and misspelled the word ping. wink
