I'm an affiliate manager for a site and we had this idea to run a contest challenging our affiliates to create and submit a blog related to the product for a chance to win prize money. Basically the goal is to motivate those affiliates who have yet to get out there and start something for themselves as well as reward those that take the ball and run with it.
What do you guys think of the idea and how would you tweak it or whould you do something else entirely? We were trying to break away from the usual sales contest thing. We like it when every affiliate has a shot at the prizes.

I'm not sure I understand why you want to do it.
Are you trying to encourage blog spamming to sell your product?
