Hello,

I am currently trying an approach of obtaining affiliate relationships with several differnet companies, Universities, and organizations. We are sending out emails one-by one to organizations/businesses lists that we have made. I am wondering about spam issues, and how I can send these emails out without getting blacklisted. My host sent me an email stating that we are in violation of their no-spam policy. If anyo9ne has any insight into this, I would greatly appreciate it.

The problem is not necessarily with your host, but with the recipients of those emails. You see, if any of the people receiving those emails complains to your host, then there could be problems.

So, the email needs to be written in a way so that the recipient of the email doesn't think it's spam. Nowadays, if you're sending out unsolicited emails that's pretty hard to do.

You are allowed to send emails if you follow the rules at www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/canspam.htm

These rules must be followed in any commercial email.
