    Hi!

We need to promote a music band in Internet: PR + attracting visitors to the web-site.
What are the options available (aside from registering on MySpace)?

    Thank you!

Try mp3.com. They're always looking for artists.

Get your band on Facebook. When you have created a page PM me as we have a band competition running on there.

I agree with the MySpace and Facebook comments, but also check out purevolume. I know quite a bit of people who get into new music through that site.

I know its not a band, but I saw a comedian in the Montreal Comedy Festival who became famous simply because he was giving away his work as mp3's on stuff like LIMEWIRE.
He used basic comments like COMEDY, FUNNY, and of course his name and the name of each soundtrack. He then had a website that that allowed people to learn who he was.
As for a band, you would include genre, style, and even relate it to someone famous. If you play like U2 the band, then include U2 in your title to pick up extra listeners.
    And obviously YOUTUBE.

    Good luck.

myspace.com Find a band like your own, and send requests to their friend lists. For example, my band kynduvme (myspace.com/kynduvme) wants foo fighters fans to give us a listen. I go to foo fighters friends pages and request their friends, very targeted.
