I am from China. The search engines scene there is quite new. There are a couple of local search engines, and then of course Google dominates with its Chinese language version.

The peculiar thing is that the meta search engines are virtually non-existent in China. There is one meta search engine called soiq.com(http://www.soiq.com), which aggregates search results from all the major SE's, but besides that, the users there have few else to choose from when it comes to meta search.

By contrast, there are so many meta search engines in the US, such as dogpile, mamma, etc. Are there a lot in Europe?

And do meta search engines make much money?

I am trying to learn as much as I can about meta search in china, if you have found out more and would not mind sharing your experiance with me either through this forum or via email then can you let me know what you have found out?

I am currently developing a chinese meta search but I am running into some difficulty with the search string. Just now the site is running english results and I have beta dir for development.

My site juxit is trying to pull data, but so far the search string I am using is not working 100%.

Has anyone any experiance in pulling data from baidu, sogou, google and yahoo china?

I posted before about (http://www.juxit.com) in that I was developing a chinese search engine. The meta search engine is now complete but if I am unsure on how to develop further. The search results are very accurate, it took a long time to develop.

Does anyone have any idea on how to generate revenue from a meta search that you can share with me?

I would also consider a chinese partner who knows how to develop/market sites?
