It is very popular to advertise on search engines using PPC. But the disadvantage is click fraud. It is also popular to advertise via fixed fees in link directories to increase traffic and pagerank. I accidentally found a search engine ((URL REMOVED)) , which only contains paid listings based on a small fixed fee. A fixed fee does not lead to click fraud and will also increase the page rank, because of direct links instead of redirects. Will PPC be the future for search engines or are there maybe alternatives like pay for inclusion based on fixed fees?

Not sure how to answer your question, but I will say that paying for links in directories like you mention is NOT a sure-fire way to increase Page Rank. And folks shouldn't be chasing Page Rank anyway..

You're looking at a cup and seeing it half empty. The thing about PPC that works is huge amounts of instant targeted traffic which can include some click fraud.

Paid inclusion may avoid click fraud but it may not generate enough traffic so avoiding one doesn't equal gaining the other.
