I don't usually get annoyed by cold callers but Reach Global have been getting on my nerves recently. What Reach Global do is resell banners triggered by keywords on small search engines like Orange (was Wanadoo) and Excite. I am never interested in what they have to offer - something like £500 a year per keyword!
Anyway they called me yesterday and I asked to be removed from their calling list and they said that was ok. Then today I have a call from them about the same website! So I spoke to one of their managers who said they don't have a list but they won't call me again. Looks like they just get phone numbers from searching for PPC users on Yahoo! & Google.
Anyone else getting a lot of calls from them?

In the USA we have a "Do Not Call" list that they must maintain by law. You can add your phone number to the list and you won't be called.
I'm not sure if other countries have similar Do Not Call lists?

Yes we have something in the UK called the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). I think businesses can sign up these days. I will take a look into it

I just cannot believe this company. They have called me a number of times since my last post!
Today they called and they will have someone call me back later - with any luck - as I am not happy at all!

You need to have your phone company block their number form calling you.
Find out where they are located and call THAT local phone authority, explain the situation and request they investivgate the company.
...or you could just save yourself all the grief, make one call to your local utility and get a new number yourself.
true, it's a PITA and YOU shouldn't have to, but it will solve your frustration.
After this, pay the small fee for an unlisted number.

Hmmmm...not going to change the number. After all it is plastered all over our company websites....
Good advice about the other stuff though.
I have also contacted Orange to see what they say about the practices of one of their resellers...

Guess what? Reach global called me again today! I asked to be put through to a manager to make a complaint, and when I managed to start speaking to that manager she prompty hung up! I wasn't even being rude to them!
[edit]
I have now spoken to Orange and they are going to speak to Reach Global about what they have been doing. Result!
