you've done as much as you can with page relevancy, keyword and phrase edits, submitted to the Search Engines- the whole nine yards... now what?

how long till you start re-optimizing? should you do nothing to the pages you altered as you wait for the results of your efforts?

Search Engine Marketing is a constant evolving process. To start with, I would continue to try to get relevent links to your website (you can never have enough).

Then, you can begin to watch your website stats to see which keywords are bringing the most traffic to your site. This will help you find even more related keywords that you're not found for, which would bring in a whole new set of visitors to your site.

If you're just getting started and you're waiting to show up in the search engines, you can write even more content for your website, perhaps articles about your subject which would help establish you as an expert if you field.

referring to your web site log files or statistics is often the best way to hone in on which specific keywords you should be targeting more. How are people already finding you. Beyond that, wordtracker.com is a good tool for researching keyword to further target.

Links - include your keywords targeted specifically within the link text. Focus on quality sites that are on 'theme' with your offer. Consider getting links not only to your home page, but other major category/product/service pages as well to help those along. More links equals better, unless they are free-for-all-crud-link-farm sites - then they will do you no good, and even have the (rare - when you also link back to a penalized site) potential for harm.
