I was wondering if its advisable to use Domain Masking to promote certain sections of my web site.
Would it rank well on the search engines with the Domain Mask or would it rank the directory name of my main web site?
E.g. www.domainMask.com -> www.mywebsite.com/music/
I believe its much easier to tell my visitors to goto www.domainMask.com rather than the full URL www.mywebsite.com/music/
Another issue is about my directory structure.....
I plan to create online "shops" for my web site. I was wondering which of the directories below would rank higher on search engines.
/shop/ringtones/oasis-ringtones.php or idex.php
/shop/shirts/oasis-shirts.php or index.php
/shop/music/oasis-music.php or index.php
OR
/ringtones/oasis-ringtones.php or index.php
/shirts/oasis-shirts.php or index.php
/music/oasis-music.php or index.php
OR
/oasisringtones/oasis-ringtones.php or index.php
/oasisshirts/oasis-shirts.php or index.php
/oasismusic/oasis-music.php or index.php
As you can see the keywords I am targeting are "oasis shirts", "oasis music", "oasis ringtones". I will be running affiliate programs to fill up these "shops" and my domain names to point to these URLs.
Thanks for your help!
