Hi!
i would like to know if the h1 worth something in my page even if the title is done using an image.. so i could do:

<h1 title="text on my image title"><img src="img/mytitle1.jpg" alt="text on my image title"></h1>

because i know SE do put some worth about the page hierarchy, so i wan't to use H1, H2, H3 tags, but as for my titles, they are actually using images.

I know i should use text only, but the website owners want a page titles with style so... more than css could get!

Thanks in advance!

The <h1> tag is for marking up heading text.

Google puts little weight on alt text esoecailly if it is for an image that is not a link.

If you want to rank better, Take your text out of the image and use real text in an h1 tag.
The way you want to do it is just spam and won't help you out at all. I know I tried it once.
