I have a favorite keyword that I rank 20-25 for in Google and #14 for in Yahoo search.

I would really like to be in the top ten this year. Would a Yahoo Directory listing help any?

Pagerank is 6
So I don't think I could get it higher.

if its the site in your profile I would suggest the following:

I would focus the page titles on the keywords you would like boosted. I would include alt tags for all images including the keywords. I would also suggest more content. Content is what seems to boost keyword rankings for my sites.

A Yahoo! Directory listing might help, but there's no guarantees. What you need to focus on is getting more links than those sites that are currently in the top 10 rankings.

On-page content will help in that it will give other sites more reasons to link to that content--it's good to constantly add content to your site. However, adding content isn't necessarily the final answer to getting top rankings. It all comes down to the number of links.
