    Hi huh

I have mentioned this before and was given advice, re-optimized my page - I used to rank in the top 10 on google for most of my pages - now i'm nowhere to be seen - for example my page about Coffee Gift Baskets is No. 386 on Google now - but if you look on MSN - I am No.1 - and I am No.1 on MSN for most of my pages - can anyone shed any more light on this - I don't know whether something on another one of my pages could affect my rank...??? Can I contact Google - will they tell me???

Thanks in advance for your time, Tina

When using keywords in URLs I like to separate the words with hyphens or dots. That can help a little.

There are a lot of errors in the code to fix up. Those aren't the cause of your problem, but it would be a good idea to fix them anyway.

Google have seriously altered the way in which they index your site.

You will most likely find that you can attain a good ranking in MSN / Yahoo but a poor one in Google. You are best advised to do three things:

    1. Use the w3c validator as mentioned above to debug your code
    2. Make regular small tweaks to your content / links
    3. Read up on the Google technical side, they publish info on how to help get a better listing on google.

Be well advised tho, Google now operates in an odd way - Sites ranking high on Google rank low on other major search engines and vice-versa.. This is due to the way google analyses reciprical and statistical links to your site as apose to content based analysis as used by most of the other engines.

As a tip - We advise our customers to Advertise on Google Adwords for Google, whilst we market to all the other engines since its almost impossible to stay ontop with them all.
