g1smd: "Use UTF-8 if you are likey to have content in more than one language."
This is what my current DB is set at:
MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)
MySQL connection collation: UTF8_general_ci
Does that look right?
Then just to make sure im on the right track. I must insert this in all may page headers:<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text-html; charset=utf-8 ">
Forms. When, per say, a user fills out a form and the data is sent to the Databse is there some kind of code i need to covert to charset or is that automatic?
When you say if i use more then one language you mean i must us UTF-8 because it will be viewed by people with different charsets and the DB will have to be it other wise it wont handle all the diff chars?
Basically i am asking if i am heading in the write direction.
Thank you!
