Hello,
I am curious as to why some of my sites are disappearing from the Alexa Traffic Rankings.
It's not just a couple but like 10 sites. They are not abandoned, we update them everyday, and the Google PR hasn't decreased.
Why do you think Alexa suddenly says they have no traffic data for them?
Thanks for your help

Welcome to the forums paper_clip!
Alexa's data is only collected from users who have their toolbar installed on their computers. If folks remove the toolbars, or Alexa toolbar users don't go to your website, the data from Alexa will reflect this in how they rank you. meaning, if less Alexa users go to your website, Alexa drops your ranking.
I personally would not sweat this - Alexa's rank is not a meaningful tracking metric.
If your Google Page Rank suddenly drops to zero, then you'll want to look into things...not that I advocate chasing page Rank either, but it can be an indicator or concerns with an entity that actually matters.
There, I said it - how Alexa ranks you doesn't matter... Crap, I hope they realize this is just a personal opinion and don't decide to sue me...

Thanks SportsGuy.
IMHO there's no need to sweat Alexa at all:D.
But I was indeed curious to know why that happened.
Thanks again.

Have the number of visitors coming to the site declined in any way?
Check your site logs to see what is going on.

Alexa web traffic is just an estimator... so there is no problem with the results given by that alexa tool... as SportsGuy said if your PR is decreased then you hav to bother and analyze your site but now there is no need...

To follow up on that--
Do Alexa traffic rankings hold any real value or are they mostly for bragging rights?
I know that just by installing the toolbar on one computer, I raised our traffic rank over 200,000 (from 400,000 to 200,000). If it has any real value,I can put it on my home machine as well and bump us up another 10,000!
