Hello, yes - I think the best on-line course is totally free and it could take 6-12 months depending on how much you want it. Less if you are a keen learner...any set course could steer you upstream ... to a place where paddles are hard to come by or the way gets narrow.

it is also good to be careful what and who you follow though...there is a lot of "stuff" out there that could hurt more than help...beginners may not necessarily know how to put weights on balance on what they are reading or know how to assess the presenters of the information.

I find it "curious" that some people are allowed to post URLs (see messages 3 and 7) while others are not (see message 11).
