Hi,
I am having an unusual problem on my site...suddenly my traffik raised up...but i would n't find any real visitors on my
site...According to me it is somethin ghosty thing rendering my site without any user-agent & other info...
The IPs are something like this
38.98.19.105
38.98.19.96
38.98.19.109
38.98.19.101
38.98.19.83
38.98.19.123
The actual point i want to tell is my actual visitors are only 40 per day but Now I m getting over a 500 unique visitors a
day which is unusual...this IP range varie from 0 to 255 values(Last IP bits) ...
See this is not a bots problem the thing i want to know is this some search engine's updation taking place...or this are the
bluddy scrappers who are taking data from your site...has anyone ever had faced this kind of problem...

After you look up the IP address of the visitor to make sure it's not someone you want visiting your site then I would block the entire 38.98.19.* class C Block of IPs from visiting your site. That should take care of it.

Does it seek only one page or a number of other pages ?
What is the pattern of its 'crawling' ? Some search engine's robots sometimes keep asking the same files in a 24 hour period probably induced by a quirk in the link structure.
