How do we promote sub domains in the search engines.? Som direcotires dont like the subdomains for submission....

Subdomains are NOT individual websites, so you submit the main website to the directory once and move on - it's as simple as that.

Subdomains are seen as individual websites by the search engines though, and most importantly they are seen that way by Google. Directories aren't the only place to get backlinks, either.

Fair enough your answer was correct, but cathiejones seemed almost to be saying that directory links were all she had to go on. Safer to be clear.

cathiejones, you may have to look for a nich category that related to your subdomain for each diretory you submit to. I know many sites have more than one listings on ODP directory. However, I don't think the same rule applied to every directory though.
