I am optimizing an existng site which has some flash objects on it. I have read that the search robots can read text inside flash. Is that right? Is there some way I can tell if the flash object was created correctly.

Thanks

this is true but don't relie on it, if they have a few flash files on page, then don't worry about it (unless there navigation is in Flash then panic!), concentrate on links, content and original titles wink

Yes, make sure you have site navigation that uses text links, NOT flash. Flash nav is okay, but you need text also.

If its pieces of flash here and there, you are likely fine, if the entire site is in flash, good luck - will need an overhaul.
