I have a site optimized for about 60 different key-phrases. They are very similar - e.g. main phrase is widget product and from there it builds on to blue widget product, red widget product etc.
I own MSN for all of these key-phrases, mostly top spot sometimes 2nd. It is different with Google - the site is on the first page for just handful of key-phrases (5 or 6). For the rest of them nowhere near.
Google is however the biggest referrer followed by MSN and Yahoo. The site was built with the intention to top my income and for the last 6 months average was around £200 a month.
So the question is if ain't broke do I try to improve rankings in Google and risk loosing top spots in MSN or just leave it as it is ?

If you don't want to take the risk, then start a new site with new content.

I wouldn't start a new site.
Twice as much work, and Google doesn't like "duplicate content".
