Hi,

Keyword density is the measurement of how frequently any given keyword appears within a web page. Keywords density neither be too high nor too low.

Does good keyword density helps you in increase your rankings and traffic of your site?

I have little bit confused about keyword density.
Can any one tell to me about this?

keyword density is just a small fraction of the many many things which is considered in SEO you should try not to repeat your keyword to many times or you can be banned for it

Welcome - but why the link drop cunningly disguised? wink

If your content is related to the key words, and is written so that it makes sense, and does not read like a telephone directory open on the keywords page, then you really do not need to worry about keyword density.

SEs are quite sophisticated these days, and can spot a keyword-stuffer from 3,200 miles.

On the other hand, common sense says that if the content is neither interesting nor relevant, then keyword stuffing isn't an answer that will lead to more business - though conceivably it will gain a few soon-to-be-disappointed visitors.

SEO isn't about conning cat-lovers into visiting a dog-lover's site*; it's about getting more dog-lovers.

That's what will make your site a success.

*Except for idiot spammers, who then blame Google for the 'wrong visitors'.

I'm not considering KW Density in creating site content since i believe that KWs should be placed naturally as what the SE spiders preferred the most

The keyword density can be use as the factor in determining whether the web pages is relevant to specific keywords or phrases. I think using a keyword density ratio in the range of 2-8%, But it doesn't matter if you change the keyword density and the ranking may not be lost. There is some factors to be consider in the ranking of keywords.Keyword density (assuming it isn't ridiculous) does not matter. We just have to tweak it and then check out the response and tweak again to see good results.

i am agree with you, keyword density is, how many times you are using keyword in your web page. According to my experience in seo a keyword should not repeat in a any tag again and again.

Keyword density is also a big factor in ad costs for google. If you use google adwords and have a poor quality score, you might want to check the keyword density ratio of your landing pages. I agree with 2-8%

Good keyword density can possible increase rankings of your site and as they said only 2-4% is the needed keyword density for the site. Using of H tags can add more weight for specific keywords and can easily crawl by the search engine.

You can identify excess keyword density by getting an independent person to read your content.

If they laugh, you've overdone it.

If they shake their head gently and smile, you've seriously overdone it.

If they start to phone a psychiatrist, you're a dead cert for a Google ban.

You should not get too bogged down in calculating kw density. Just write your copy naturally and try to work in your keyword phrases in a way that makes sense. Once you do get a visitor the copy has to be readable not just a jumble of your keywords it will look rediculous
