First of all, you may find your position in a position tracker.
Use this {edited} SEO tool to find your website position in the major search engines.

In addition open a Google webmasters tool account to check your website status.

lastly, Help Google find you.
Submit your website to any search engine or directory.

Good luck.

At the first glance, Google has indexed 4 pages from your site. You are ranking in No3 place for the phrase -"Clean and Sheen". Your problem is - you have the same phrase as title for all the 4 pages Google has indexed and your primary phrase is unlikely to be the one a typical searcher would type in the search engines. You will have to find out what any user would search to reach your services. Then deploy pages dedicated for each phrase instead of using the same phrase for all your pages.

And you don't need to submit to any search engine. They will find your page.

if your site is not yet index in google , the best things you do is to get more backlinks to your site.

You can get your site indexed in google with near or zero backlinks, no problem. Getting more will help, although it has nothing to do with being indexed.

prowler is spot on though.

Although... everyone says dont submit your site to google, and let it find it naturally. I dont see any reason why you cannot suggest your site to google if it is a brand new site. It wont do any harm whatsoever and may even kick start the process... who knows.
Fair enough dont submit many times to multiple engines, but once to google in the initial website launch isnt a problem at all.

Hmm... the reason your site is not found in Google for the phrase "window cleaning" is an obvious one. ALL of the following are why it is not ranking:

1.) Your site is brand new
2.) Your site needs more content
3.) Your site needs links, and lots of them.
4.) Your site needs to wait. It takes time. A long time. Perhaps a year plus, even if all other factors are in place.
5.) Your site needs to be optimized.

There are more than 5 million pages that are turned up for a Google search for "window cleaning". Why would your brand new site deserve to outrank all of these?

Your site looks good, but it needs all the fundamental SEO factors in place. Unique title tags, description tags, etc.

On another note. Does your business have an office? If you have a physical address submit your site to Google Local. Also, I noticed a huge problem to your site. Sure you have a phone number, but no address or town even? No country either for that matter. I personally can tell from the phone number that you are not in the US or Canada, but other than that - are you in the UK? Heck, you could be in China, Austrailia, India, or Mexico for all I know. Get your location front and center somewhere. It may help you to rank at Google.co.uk (or whatever relevant Google makes sense for your business)

i have to pick up on some of those , cause thats the kind of guy i am , but its all in the name of discussion smile

2.) Your site needs more content
I dont know how many times i've disagreed with people on this. your site can have zero copy content and be ranked considtently high for competitive terms, providing you've made provisions within the template.

3) Your site needs links, and lots of them.
A site or page can be listed within the top ten for a market term with ZERO counted backlinks, above sites wth a hundred backlinks.

4.) Your site needs to wait. It takes time. A long time.
Thats kinda true, although it can only be weeks, as you said yourself in another post.

5.) Your site needs to be optimized.
true... very true..

Your site need to get links.. Directory submission is a good way to get one-way link.. You can consider to find some this kind of company to optimize your site.

flyer - it would seem you already possess a basic understanding of the factors at play here - why argue with good advice?

What vanache has suggested to you is the basics of SEO. if it's tricks you're seeking, we deal mostly in white hat methods...hence the response you saw above.

If you are unwilling to do as suggested, we're more than open to hearing your ideas on how to still rank well, on busy terms, without implementing things like content and a linking strategy.

...all in the name of conversation... wink
