Help! I need to advise a client ASAP. We are trying to beat their main competitor who is lucky to have their top 2 most important keywords in their name and in their URL. I have advised my client to buy some keyword rich URLs (words separated by hyphens) and then redirect them to the main site. I know that keyword relevancy will be greatly helped if they own some URLs with these important keywords. My questions is - if you redirect several URLs to a main URL - is this considered spamming by the engines? What would we have to do to make it legit - provide additional, relevant content? Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Place them on every page. Make sure that page titles are different and that you use keywords related to the page content. This means that, if you have a website of 10 pages, you have ten opportunities to drive traffic to your site overall.Oh, and try not to use frames - they're useful for page layouts but some search bots can't cope with them, so they just visit the top frame on the first page. Good luck - why not post your site address, I'm sure you'll get constructive feedback. Bob

Its pretty difficult to get specific since I'm not sure when all of those last indexed. A good rule of thumb is to wait 6 weeks and if you're not listed, submit again. Other than that check the appropriate forums below for some more specific info.
