But not on Google. I am almost becoming a google hater! I have always been Pro-google, but now I have found I can actually find things better on yahoo. All the keyword phrases I wanted to be found under worked on Yahoo, but google will only give me my company name.
And yes, all SEO strategies have been used!

How long has your site been up? It may be stuck in the sandbox?

My home page made it to google page 1 in less than a month and I was happy about that. I have just noticed that yahoo allows me to search for keyphrases much better than google. I understand the importance of google, I just think that they could be a little easier on people.
I know google takes time and they say they are trying to sift through the doorway pages and spam, but that is really all I can find. Those sites are winning. They did index my blog in a day though!

Melissa, welcome to the forums. Hope it's nice & sunny today.
Please take what I'm about to post up as constructive criticism and nothing more.
I see that your site is about SEO copy-writing - there's lots of keyword-focused content...
But, here's the top of your meta tags:
((meta tags removed by admin))
There is plenty in there which an SEO consultant would advise you to change. I can tell you at least one reason why Google doesn't seem to like you - your title.
Unless you are Kleenex or Xerox, there's no need to have your own name in your title tag. Stick with a title such as "SEO Copy Writing Service".
Next up - description - man, WAY too much stuff in there, IMO. Stuffed with obvious keywords - and Google doesn't reeally look at this tag anyway.
Now the keywords tag - again, Google doesn't use it for much, BUT, it's looking like this too weas stuffed with keywords.
Dial those two tags back to something basic and simple - leave 4 or 5 keywords in there, though.
You do have individual tags on each page, which is good, but again, cut back on all the keywords, etc., if you can.
**Found a spelling error in the client's page:**
...in the care business...
I'm guessing (he) has been in the "car" business...
Anyway, please don't take any of this as bashing. Just trying to share some insights which might help you in the long-run.

They seemed to like my title enough to put me on the first page in less than a month.
I went to an SEO conference and they told me to do that. I didn't have as many before. I added them after.
Plus I checked my stuff through bruce clays site and the they said the length of everything was just right.

These serve no purpose at all, and can be deleted:
<meta name="keyords" content=""/>
<meta name="keywords" content=""/>
<meta name="generator" content="softwarename; softwarenema 3.1.1"/>
Do you use XHTML? The trailing / must be used in XHTML, but must NOT be used for HTML 4.01 code. Add a DOCTYPE as the very first line to clarify this.
You need to fix these errors as soon as possible.

I just ran some sites though that validator- Sites web designers made and that are doing well and they had just as many errors. Do they really matter?

Bad code can stop spiders indexing a site properly.
Good code will be better understood, as well as working more reliably in a wider range of browsers such as Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc,...
