I asked this in the Google forum, I wanted to find out if anyone knows about Yahoo doing this.

I have put a link on the bottom of the page which is the url equivalent of putting "Site:bluegrind.com" into yahoo or google. This is a link, originally I put it on so I can just go to our website's main index page and click on the link to check how many pages Google has indexed.

But now I'm thinking, is that an advantage or a disadvantage when the page is indexed by Yahoo? Will they look at that as a black hat trick or do they ignore that? or does it work as a different technique to get more pages indexd etc.

If not for google, what if the Yahoo slurp when it sees that link to the Google 5000 or so pages that have been indexed. Can anyone let me know.

You can see the links on [url removed - link dropping is not allowed here] if you scroll all the way to the bottom, the two links are there.

    Thanks,
    Dan
