It will start on the 1st of April. However as an April fools joke Google will keep the inbound links to Yahoo the same until the 2nd of April. The SEO community will swear the dance has not started and the engineers at Google will be rolling on the floor laughing.

I dont really care when teh dance is to be honest. As long as it picks up all my links i dont care. I think I have about 200 as far as I know so I want them bad :P

Yeah Chad I have something similar in the French version of the site I have put up.
I have a few number 1 rankings already for those pages so hopefully I can get a PR boost from them, maybe ill contact some French SEO companys and trade some links.
Overall I think im going to be a very happy bunny next month.

I have no idea what to expect after the next dance, found this forum about a week ago.
I've changed my page text to be more keyword rich, changed my keyword meta tags to not be so spammy, put in a site map to negate my java navigation, registered with quite a few popular directories and got lots of new links including front page links from sites with a PR of 6. I'm hoping the changes to my site will mean I get a higher rating for my No1 keyword than #345 lol!
Hope I'm doing something right???
and just for the record I'll go for March 31

Welcome Steve ... looks like you are off to a good start. Keep in mind that you might not see all of those updates take effect with this coming update (depending on when they spidered your site and when it actually happens). If the change/update/links were made before they spidered you, then it will be in play. If not, it will be the next update. Keep working at it, build links, and try to consistently improve the quality and the amount of content your site provides.

Plus I am getting the same google activity now as I get about 10-12 days before the last dance.
Yes im that sad that I analyse my logs in VERY DEEP details

Hummm manic observations! I guess its because I get bored so I goto see who, what and why things have ben at my site.
If you check the cache date on google and then check back a few days later and it has gone but in your logs google has spidered the whole site again then its a good idea to do a few changes as google will be back.
This happened last month and happened for the first time yesterday last night.
Period over which this happened last month = 11 days.
11 days from yesterday = 3rd April.
Add a few days for everything to settle = 5th April.
Voila happy chrsitmas....!
If im right btw ill be very suprised :P
