I have hundreds of pictures on my web site, but when I do an image search on google (and yahoo) my pictures almost never come up. I have been starting to add more description to my pages to see if this will help, but nothing so far. Also I renamed some of my image folders months ago, but the old folder names are still showing (on the few images that do show up) and of course the images are not found. Any suggestions on getting all my images to show up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On page text seems to be more of a ranking factor than image file name.
Wait for the current changes to be indexed and see what kind of affect the new data has.

If I'm right, you're not making use of alt tags, right? That will get them to show up for what you want them to. <G> also uses filenames.

what i think d_stew is saying is that besides for having the alt tag describing the picture, you should name the picture under the keyword you want it to be found, i.e. a picture of a car should be nissan-maxima.gif with the lat tag being Nissan Maxima

If you have a PR5 then the other pages (that are linked to from the PR5 site) should be indexed within a couple of days to a week. 2 weeks in very EXTREME cases.
If the pages aren't being indexed then make sure your linking to them correcly and in a way that google can follow them. And the golden rule, make sure your not disallowing the spiders!

Thanks..I have had this site up for over 3 years...So I'm not sure where the problem may be...I pay heavily for google adword and overture. Don't know if that has anything to do with it...I would like to clean this site up so I can stop with the ppc. Any suggestions would be helpful...Is there someone I can hire to just give me suggestions as to what needs to be done to improve this site. Thanks again. Janet

mrs gooch.... check to see that 1)te links to your internal pages are not from images, and 2) your internal pages are not only accesable via dynamic queries. those should solve your problem right there

from what i can tell you have a couple of problems in your code that the search engines wont like, not enough content of the product and your pages arent dedicated to particular products, you have the same head as you do in all your pages
