Just noticed, All the Googles: Google.com, google.ca and google.co.uk, etc. are all down. Server Error when trying to do any searches. DNS attack maybe? Anyone know anything?

I called my contact at Google and they said they're aware of the situation and am working on it. That's all I could get out of them at this point.

As for being down, I don't see any of the server errors here in Texas. I've heard that the central region of the US isn't having issues.

Hmm... very interesting.

I tried searching through anonymizer and still get the 503 error. Interested to see whats going on.

Apparently, the mydoom variant is searching people's address books for @yahoo and related emails and then it does a search at Google. This worm variant is what is causing all the additional searches at Google, and the Google servers cannot keep up with all the queries.
